      Recommend audio books

I'm looking for suitable audio or radio plays in class for teenagers and adults of non-western culture (which means that most students have never heard of e.g. Shakespeare or fairytales), English ability is somewhere lower intermediate to intermediate level.

I believe the speakers have to be clear and speech must be standard at this level, with only few unusual words. I'm looking for varied material: easy poems, non-fiction, thrillers, detective stories, ghost stories and classics. I'm also looking for audio books suitable for children and lower level students. Clarity is also essential as to be audible and clear over fans and air con - or in places where electricity is not always available, where ripped CD played on MP3 player with tinny speakers may be the only option.
