MA TESOL

I am currently teaching English in South Korea. I am flirting with the idea of pursueing an MA in TESOL. Is an MA in TESOL worth the trouble? I am not interested in a PHD, my true interest lies in teaching. Is an MA in TESOL a worthwhile endeavor for me?

hi...its great that you have a love for teaching...but PhD is a must for a teaching career and an MA in TESOL is not a trouble to study but on a whole...if you are PhD candidate..it will help you a lot in your profession...keep rocking...
I am also pursuing a degree in MA tesol. Whatever it may be, as long as you enjoy it and see yourself doing it awhile. Getting your masters or doctorate, the higher up you go the more responsibilies you get anyway. Go wherever you feel comfortable.
The answer is yes. It really makes you SEE things and informs your classroom practice. I did one with Leicester University. Highly recommendable.
If you haven't got the DELTA, I suggest you go for that first, though. Not only because it's more based on observation and refining micro-skills (although the MA is very practical too) and recognised as the next natural step after CELTA (and rewarded financially as such), but also because it's a good stepping stone to a Master's, which will be far more demanding, knowledge and workload-wise. The distance MA with Leicester will exempt you from the first module if you've got the DELTA.
Good luck!
