      Translation is an art. Deep down it is a science as it manipulates discourse in the target language and makes meaning clear from a source text. Today translation mainly deals with literature of authentic text materials,especially literature of science and technology. It also gives an idea of a product in the world's leading languages where it merely transfers information and, i think, it is difficult because it has to objective minus all nuances of a target language.And herein Notions and functions do creep in. And in this respect it is a craft. In literature it is subjected to various kinds of interpretation. Rabindranath in one of his letters to Robert Bridges(on 19th August,1915): As for my own opinion , I think there is a stage in all writings where there have been finality in spite of their shortcomings.-----iI kn ow habit gives a poem its true character, making it seem inevitable like  a flower or a fruit. Flaws are there but life makes up fo all its flaws. So it is an art. But for Art's sake? Or is it expedient to expedite this study?
