Help in teaching English to CE1, CE2, CM1, and CM2

      Hi

I have just been appointed to teach french primary school children.  I have looked on many websites to get as much info as possible, and have prepared a lesson plan for each class, although they all need completing.  I am worried about the contents of each lesson, and have been looking at the programme, but it would be great to have a sort of calendar that could guide me and show what vocab and sentences the pupils should be learning at roughly each stage or fortnight or so.

And I don't want the children to find things too difficult, too easy nor too boring.  Any suggestions are welcome...as I am getting a bit panicky!

      Thanks

I was just looking for ideas on the web for lesson plans for CE1 and I came across your post. As English teachers who teach in French schools, we must follow recommendations for foreign language teaching from the "B.O: Bulletin Officiel". What you may find about the contents to be taught in the B.O is the minimum that should be done in class.

We are supposed to make our own calendar and syllabus according to the B.O but you can also follow whatever calendar you may choose. Personally,I also follow the syllabus provided with our textbook.

Working with colleagues from the same level is also helpful.

      Good luck.
