      Haiku about Teaching

       Dear Diane,
      Thanks for your bright idea.

      Nature Stories-based
      best teaching approach,
      Animals and plants...

      Task-based lessons teach:
Earthquake, fire, flood, heat and cold.
      Show in project all!

      Grammar-based is smart
If you use some clever chant.
      Flowers, trees, don't miss!

      Topic-based approach:
      sunshine, thunder, shower, rain.
You can do the same with fame!

      Activity-based:
      Handicrafts and Christmas tree.
      Do and feel like me!

I do not typically use haikus when teaching.  But those are well done.  I will pass them along to a friend of mine.

      Dear DrLanghorn,

Thanks for your comment. You know, this is my first haiku in English. I sometimes love making up stories or poems when I feel like that. Recently I have been close to finish my 'Hamlet' (modern version for teenagers or students). It had to be full of music with 'Show must go on" and "Wonderful life"at the end. I wanted to finish like that,

"We don’t agree with great Shakespeare!

We think that honor is a plus,

That love and hate don’t kill each other,

                                         And our heroes stay alive!"

But before the debut performance something terrible had happened in my private life...

So, I have got neither chance nor will to stage my play by now.

If you are interested, I could share my ideas concerning the writing.

      Best Regards,

      SoniaM
