      Grammar and vocabulary

      Hello people!

I was thinking, since the methods of teaching is always changing I would like to know from you : How can teachers work a lesson of a book without making this an excuse for them to teach grammar ?

Unfortunately, most of the teachers don't really know how to "survive" without the methods. So, I doubt if some of them would have the necessary skills, knowledge and willingness to teach grammar without the books. So yes,in my opinion they are always going to have the books as a support. Unless things change......

      Hi there.

I'm afraid I'm not quite clear on what you are asking.  Could you include a bit more detail, or an example of what you mean?

      Thanks.

That is, I'm not sure if you mean:

      1) Sometimes books are designed for practising listening skills, speaking skills, etc.  But even then teachers 'teach grammar'.  How can teachers use the book as intended to focus on skills and development instead of turning it into a grammar lesson?

      2) Sometimes books are designed around grammar points.  Teachers need to and want to help their students practise and develop skills, but don't know how to do it when the books are all about grammar.  How can teachers do what they intend and focus on skills and development instead of following the book to closely and ending up focusing on grammar?

      3) Something completely different...
