      "First Lesson" - Help Needed

      Hello,

I'm supposed to write an essay on "First Lesson" but the problem is that I can't find any books concerning this topic. (this is a part of my thesis on teachers' approach to baginners). Could you help me and tell in which sources I can find some information on the subject above? Thank you very much for help.

      Regards,

      Kasia

       Dear Kasia,

You'd better  take a look at the following addresses. You can get some ideas.

        HI,

Try using newspapers for this. I got this idea from a book, but cant recall the author 's name now..sorry.

Ask students to recreate the first page of a well-known newspaper by taking a few samples in and then asking them, to work in groups  and to create one such newspaper.

Write-up what happens  in the class. :   materials you took into class, how you gave instructions etc, their spoken interaction, listening , reading, composing ( all that  will take place  )  and the teacher acts as facilitator.

You might need a 2hr session.
