      Explaining to the students the concept of context in teaching vocabulary

      hi guys

       

      I am new here. Greetings to everybody.

      1.I would like to ask you for help. I am looking for sites where I can find some articles about how to explain to the students the concept of context as far as teaching vocabulary is concerned. I would love to find some ready made examples of sentences to make students see how the concept works. Can you send any links to me so that I can prepare proper explanation to my students?

      2. Do you know where on the internet can I find ready made materials that teach students survival English as far as going abroad is concerned? I mean for example survival language in the airport, in the post office, in a bank, in a hotel etc? Please, let me know if you know any interesting websites. Thanks in advance!

      Context for learning vocabulary

      Hi rafal,

      Welcome to the site.

      Definitely your students can learn vocabulary only if context, use, and revision are implemented. In this way it's even fun for them to learn vocab, or at least they will see meaningful messages, not just a bore to learn.
