Articles on translation

Dear All
I am looking into the use of translation in EFL classrooms ('modern grammar-translation approaches'). I'd be interested in hearing from you regarding these points:
a) Do you teach translation? Which directions? What are the reasons/justifications for doing so? Are there conditions that need to be fulfilled to make it successful as a learning tool (e.g. certain level in English, etc)
b) Do you know of any recent articles / books that look at this topic (i.e. weighing up the pros/cons of using translation for ELT). Please provide full references so I can look these up.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have collected some articles on using translation in learning and teaching English as a foreign language. I have also discovered articles on using a native language to help foreign learners in the process of learning and teaching EFL. At your request I can give you the title of articles and the website addresses.
Some of those translation articles may have references of publications on the issue.
