      Advanced Level Primary Age Coursebooks

      Hello,

My school has a group of 7-11 year old students who have lived in the States for some time, and have now returned to China. They are at an advanced level, and are keen to continue English classes with our school. The problem is we have no course book for this level.

Could anyone recommend a book/resource materials for such a course, or give advice if you have encountered a similar situation previously?

      Thanks,

      Stephen

      Hi

There are loads of materials for primaries at all levels here: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/

The Kids Talk videos (under the listen and watch tab)and tasks might be fun to use with your learners. Students can send in their written work to be posted on the site too.

      Sally,

Thanks for your advice. I have thought about using these stories before, although was hoping to mix up some of the British English with some American, too (I know, this is the British Council website, but if anyone has any suggestions...).

The animated stories are fantastic, and there are literally hundreds of different activities that can be used with them. Perhaps some kind of shared resource bank online with teacher-created materials would be a good way forward with these?
