Hi from Balıkesir TURKEY.I am attending ETTO (English teacher training.course) for 5 weeks. Our trainer gave the site's name then and advised ıt but I couldnt have time to join but now I see you share wonderful ideas here. We, at course , study on how we can teach a language (English) better. Teaching methods, techniques, ice-breakers such as games, songs etc.ı t is an online course. Have you any idea on VAK activities? Give a sample activity? Thanks a lot

One idea I like is the idea of developing regular role-plays into more life-like ones by having background music or sounds and bringing in real-life objects.
For example:
Regular Role-play: Shopping. Student A - sales person. Student B - customer. Student A has a list of products, prices, and possible discounts. Student B has a list of things he/she wants to buy and preferred prices.
Life-like Role-play: As above, but instead of a list of products, Student A has a table with, for example, ten real items of clothing (the T brings in some old clothes, 3 T-shirts, 2 sweaters, etc). Student B has Monopoly/fake money. A cassette is playing sounds from an outdoor market (people bargaining in the distance, etc). Whenever B buys something, they exchange goods/money.
Visual: seeing the products on the table
Auditory: the sounds of people bargaining in the distance
Kinaesthetic: exchanging the goods/money
