      Why isn’t my favourite sport included?

      In this lesson students learn about the range of sports that now feature in the Olympic and Paralympic games and those that don’t. They learn what it takes to have a sport selected and why some sports are dropped. They make a case for the inclusion of a sport that currently doesn’t feature.

      Topic: Why isn’t my favourite sport included?

      Level: Intermediate CEFR B1/B2 (Teenage/adult)

      Timing: 60 minutes

      Aims:

      • To learn the range of Olympic sports and associated expressions
      • Reading; discussion (long and short turn taking)
      • Students learn the process of getting a sport selected as an Olympic and Paralympic sport, and apply this to a sport they know

      Elementary is not B1/B2 CEFR, but A1/A2.  Please correct mistake as it may lead to confusion with CFER levels. Thank you.

        thanks for your explanation. it is a good method to teaching student but it will be very good if you can add  a video about that.

      Thanks a lot for these worksheets. I'm pretty sure they will provide my students with new and updated material for my classes. In addition, they will help to improve their vocabulary and prepare them for the upcoming Olympic Games.
