Abdelmajid Bouziane is an associate professor at Hassan II Mohamedia / Casablanca University, Morocco. He has participated in many national and international conferences and workshops. He has published on different issues related to ELT and has reviewed books, CDROMs, and sites. He has been a director and trainer for Hornby schools and other international events. His main interests include: (quantitative) classroom-oriented research, ICT in education (especially in the teaching of languages), literacy (in ESL/EFL), NGOs. He is the President of the Moroccan Inter-university Network of English (MINE).

Alexey Ulko graduated from Samarkand University, Uzbekistan in 1991 as a teacher of English. After four years of working as a translator, he became a Senior Lecturer in ELT at the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, where he taught a range of subjects, including General English, Literary Analysis and Translation. In 1999 Alexey became the first Hornby scholar from Uzbekistan and received the degree of MEd TTELT from the College of St Mark and St John in 2000. His dissertation was focused on raising cultural and language awareness in English language teacher training. From 2003 to the present Alexey Ulko has been a freelance English language consultant working closely with the British Council in such areas as examinations, testing, teacher training, materials development, ESP and translation. In April 2008, he became ELTeCS Editor for Central and South Asia. 

Zsuzsa Kuti manages general educational projects as well as developments and reforms in foreign language teaching at the Programme and Curriculum Development Centre at EDUCATIO Kft in Hungary. She received her MA degrees at ELTE in primary teaching and then in English language teaching, her MEd in TESOL to Young Learners at the University of Leeds (U.K.) in 1999. She taught at ELTE Primary Practice School for 12 years where she was a mentor teacher. She took part and later managed the in-service English language teacher training project at the British Council between 1996 and 2000. Since 2000 she has been Editor of ELTeCS Europe, Caucasus and Russia. She has experience in organizing conferences and delivering training courses. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and delivers training courses in Hungary and abroad. She works as a teacher trainer and materials developer. Her main interest is teaching foreign languages to young learners. She also works as an adviser in primary language teaching in the World Language Programme at the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture.

Albert P’Rayan is an ELT resource person and he teaches ESP courses such as English for Engineering and Technology and Business English at KCG College of Technology, Chennai, India. He has worked in India and abroad. He headed the department of English at the Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management, Kigali, Rwanda for five years. He has been contributing a weekly column ‘English Matters’ to Education Express, a supplement with The New Indian Express since May 2006. Albert became Editor ELTeCS India and Sri Lanka in February 2008.

Renate M. Thummler Blum has taught English in Mexico for 32 years, General English programmes as well as ESP (English for Specific Purposes) courses. She has also been involved in teacher training in courses such as ICELT and TKT. She holds the RSA/UCLES Diploma for Overseas Teachers of English (DOTE), and is also a fully qualified veterinary doctor. For three years she was the assistant to the General Coordinator of the National SEP/British Council Self-Access Centre Project. She worked for the British Council as the English Language Assistant for seven years, and since August 2001 she has been Editor ELTeCS Latin America and the Caribbean. She is an Academic Consultant for the British Council and a certified examiner for Cambridge ESOL. She has been teaching ESP courses and specialized Academic/Scientific Writing in English courses at the Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia/UNAM for 10 years.
