Pearson Longman's teacher development books include the extensively revised, and award winning fourth edition of The Practice of English Language Teaching and the recently published How to Teach English with Technology. Pearson Longman have also set up a website targeted at Business English teachers.

OUP's contribution to teacher development includes the publication of ELT Journal and Applied Linguistics Journal. OUP also has an extensive selection of books in the teacher development section of its ELT catalogue. These include new titles in the series for primary school teachers, Resource Books for Teachers, Oxford Handbooks for Language Teachers and Applied Linguistics.

BBC  

The BBC has partnered with British Council in developing some of its websites for teachers. The BBC's Learning English website, has a section specifically for teachers: www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/teachingenglish/. This contains a number of downloadable resources including teaching guides for an online soap opera, lesson plans connected to talks and audio news reports, multiple choice quizzes and a radio series on Innovations in teaching which includes a programme on CLIL.

Mary Glasgow Magazines provides a range of topical and motivating magazines for learners of English, French, German, and Spanish.

They also publish a wide range of photocopiable resource books for ELT Teachers and media-tie in ELT Readers. All publishing is aimed at the 8-18 year old age group.
