Hi Graeme,
What a great way to start a Wednesday: watching an inspiring video with so many friendly faces!
Speaking of inspiration, my short answer to why I connect would be: to inspire and get inspired!
Life is much more than making ends meet month in and month out. Every human being has a yearning in their hearts to do something meaningful, to make a difference, to change the world!
And never before have individuals had a greater opportunity of doing just that by connecting with like-minded others who share similar goals and work towards achieving something purposeful.
Thanks for the uplifiting video!

Hello everyone,
Nice video there! Many thanks for sharing, Graeme. :-)
This is a quick message to tell you guys why I feel like connecting with people from all over the world. Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is the concept of living in an Information Society and that information is its newest currency, so to speak. It seems we're all desperately searching for information and this will presumably help us make sense of the world and our role in it. However, we human beings are the main source of information and knowledge; therefore, I'd rather connect with people than just with the information we share and spread all over the virtual world. Hope it makes sense! Hehe
Bye for now,
Bruno
Hello everyone,
Thanks for the interesting video.
I have to agree with all the reasons why we connect from the video. Particularly speaking, I have been connecting to learn and try to make the difference with new ideas for the classroom. I find connecting an excellent resource/tool. It's fast, easy and useful when it comes to learning and teaching.
All the best,
Rômulo
Hello everyone,
I found this interesting text from Neil Ballantine, who works with ELT at British Council Hong Kong. It is called "Mobile Learning - Students and Teachers perspectives". It is food for thought about the information and resources we have access to nowadays. He posted it on his blog:

Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks, Vanessa, for the link!
Neil makes good points there. One of which is,
"The fact that it has become a social norm now to walk around with small computers in our pockets is something that us educators need to think about a lot more."
Cheers,
