We are very happy to announce that following the advertisement of the opportunity above, our friend and frequent contributor to this online community, Bruno Cesar Vieira, has been selected by the British Council to take part in the Macmillan School for English Teachers in Rio in November.
Bruno Cesar lives in the city of Teresópolis in Rio State. He's a secondary public school teacher and works in two municipal schools. For over four years he has struggled to provide his students with an autonomous, critical and reflective approach to learning English irrespective of all the difficulties inherent in the public sector.
Well done, Bruno!
We hope you enjoy this fantastic opportunity!
By the way, teachers... it's not too late for you to submit your applications by e-mail. We're extending the period until 10 September!
All the best,
G.
Hello Graeme and all the BC ELT online community members,
It's with great surprise that I read in the posting above that I've been chosen to participate in the next Macmillan school for English teachers that will take place in Rio. I've always been so curious about this two-day event due to the themes touched and the highest quality guest speakers. I couldn't be happier and just don't know how to thank you... :-)
It's also great to know the period for submission has been extended. I already forwarded that post to other fellow public school teachers (who may or may not be members of this community) on my contact list.
Thanks again for this great opportunity!!! :-)
Bruno Cesar
