      Dear all,

      You might have heard that IATEFL conference is going to happen in Harrrogate this year in April 7 - 11. If you are not familiar with IATEFL or the conference, you can read more at iatefl.org

      British Council and IATEFL will also be providing on-line coverage for those who cannot attend the conference life. The on-line coverage will include life streaming and video recordings, discussion forums and many more interesting features to bring the conference closer to those who cannot attend. Please go to Harrogate online site and check for details. The forums are already life and there are some welcome videos to watch.

      In addition, my colleagues Vera Bobkova, Tatyana Kuznetsova and myself will be blogging from the conference about what we found interesting and exciting. You can check the programme of the cnference here and if you have particular requests or questions to some of the speakers, please do let us know and we will try to provide you with this information if at all possible.

      So please do participate in Harrogate online and visit our blogs. We will be looking forward to your questions and comments!

      Hi Olga,

      Thanks a lot, I am glad you can help, I have looked through the list of presentations and talks at the conference, there are many interesting things, I would like to listen to every speaker and watch every presentation, but I am afraid there are  too many for me at the moment, I am not sure I can afford to watch everything, could you advise what to pay attention to first of all? How long the materials will be available on the website?

      Hi Olga,

      I would start with plenaries, really. The plenaries were great - interesting, innovative, stimulating. You can also use those for teacher training if relevant, watch those with the other teachers and discuss the issues raised during the presentation for example. Then I would listen to the interviews with these speakers if ther are available.

      Afterwards just chose what topics are of interest adn look through the materials available.

      All materials will be available till the next IATEFL conference - April 2011 so you do have pleny of time - enjoy! :-)
