The 43rd Annual Meeting of the British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL) will be held at the University of Aberdeen between 9 and 11 September, 2010. Its theme is 'Applied Linguistics: Global and Local'. The conference represents a conversation over what global and local mean in relation to all the disciplines contained within Applied Linguistics. The Plenary Speakers are: Wilson McLeod, Bonny Norton, Alastair Pennycook and Tove Skutnabb-Kangas.
