I read the post about the Chinese Zodiacs and it reminded me of one reading-speaking activity. It can be used starting with the Intermediate Level up to the Advanced.

You and your students might already enjoy reading and listening to poetry in your own language and perhaps in English too. Poems are, after all, authentic texts.
