50 great ideas for blog posts that will help you complete the blogathon (part 3)
Submitted by Yearinthelifeof on 16 January, 2012 - 13:10
Welcome to the third and final part of my introductory series in which I hope to inspire you to write great posts during the blogathon!
Over the next month I’ll be using some of these techniques to help me keep going. Feel free to do the same!
- Pose a hypothesis and conclusion in your post.
- Support your post with related post links.
- Explain how to do something more efficiently in your teaching context.
- Write about generally unknown secrets in your teaching context.
- Write about how to teach in an unconventional way. Designate a weekly theme day when you will always post about a particular topic.
- Write a post about a ‘hack’ for your teaching situation.
- Create a post about how things have changed from the past.
- Make a post that expands on someone else’s post.
- Create a post that has a cliff hanger to be answered in a later post.
- Make a post about pitfalls in your teaching context.
- Create a post about your fellow bloggers’ top posts.
- Make a post that constructively criticizes someone else’s post.
- Write only about a particular theme for a week.
- Write an ‘attack’ post by setting up an argument and then shooting it down.
Please take a look at my blog to see parts one and two.
Join me again tomorrow for my next blog posts, which will give practical ideas on using games in adult classes.

Hello,
My personal favourite is this one: "Write about generally unknown secrets in your teaching context"
:))
Very useful tips- thank you!
Thanks for this, Gizem. I actually got to meet Karenne, the author of Kalinago English, at an IATEFL conference a couple of years ago, so it's great that you gave us a link to her great blog.
Thanks, Karin. Sorry you're not having any fun in the snow down in Izmir!
Hi Aslı... yeah, that's also my favourite and I'm definitely planning a couple of posts like this during the blogathon.
Hi Şirin. Thanks to you and the BC for holding this event. I hope my ideas can help people find inspiration.
This really is a fantastic series to help us all. Thank you VERY much!! :))
You're welcome. I'm looking forward to reading your inspired and inspirational posts now!
