hello everybody. networking is a buzz word now a days. lets share our experiences and concerns to help eachother grow. i 'll be posting regularly about my side as a teacher. what about you.
You're right about networking, and it's also interesting to see what teachers' lives are like in different parts of the world. Which part of the world do you teach in?
vivek again. happy to read your posting. by the way i am trying to teach a little and in turn learn a lot at a small place called dhanora. this is a town of a moderate population. basically tribals. I can send you the postal address using the contact form in your profile. The students are first generation learners and my experiences with them is encouraging. that's all for now. keep posting.
We go on at length on the issue of continuous professional development of a teacher. Particularly language teachers are expected to do this. Language teacher, irrespective of area and language face two difficulties. The non formal knowledge of the L1 immencely helps in learning formal L1. Can not we think about following the same model in learning L2 also. Now the second issue, my students want to learn english and that too with minimun of topsy- tervy. Can anybody suggest as to what strategy i need to adopt.
my institue is going to organise a seminar on the issue of interest. proposed national seminar wii try to explore the details on the ' impact of information explosion on languages and translation'. i hope the teachers can play a key role in the changing communication strategies.
