Teachers are People!

Hi colleagues,
Here's a funny cartoon clip with Goofy "Teachers are people" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMdTBep3W9c which I use as a warmer during my teacher training sessions on Learning Styles and Learning Strategies. I offer a short brainstorm for teachers : Why do you think we've watched this cartoon and how is it related to the workshop? You may hear different answers. Nobody guesses that's about Styles and Strategies. After the workshop we dicuss how we could help Goofy handle his class considering Styles and Strategies.
Where can you use this cartoon and what topic it may be related to?
P.S. Can you imagine this short movie was made in 1952? Nothing has changed since...

Terrific cartoon )) a bit exaggerated, though
At first I thought I could show such a video to would-be teachers. On second thought I decided it was far too spooky.
When I was trained as a tourist guide my teacher would tell me about tourists dying on the road or falling down the escalator, instead of showing advantages of my future carrer. I think the teacher should be shown how to deal with the problem not the problem itself ))
;)
Hi Anna! I agree with you, but what about developing the problem solving skills? Pre-service teachers could offer some soluitions to Goofy how to cope with the unteachable class.
I totally agree :) I wish somebody taught me how to deal with unteachable class... That's why I'm thinking of doing a course in teaching English in class :)
what kind of course will it be? on classroom management?
Yes :)
