      Teaching all and sundry

       

      When the class is filled with individuals of varying language proficiencies, the ominousness sets in like a ton of bricks.

       

      The tag question becomes, "Why me?"

       This happens when pragmatism of the situation rides rough shod over eloquent summations of why I want to teach English.

      Like Hamlet's predicament over his father's death and having to ponder over best friend Horatio and Marcellus' insistence that his father's ghost is real. The dilemma sets in.

      What is to be done? To be or not to be.
