Barriers to effective communication 2
Submitted by Survival Guide on 16 February, 2011 - 18:31
Yesterday I wrote about the first part of my list and here is the rest.
Barriers to Effective Communication
- Advice giving (They really don't like taking advice, actually they just ask encouragement!)
- Interrupting (Noone likes interrupting at al.:))
- Listening only to content, not hearing feelings
- Talking, not listening
- Daydreaming
- Criticizing
- Labelling
- Prejudging the speaker(THE WORST ONE!!!)
- Jumping to conclusions
- Finishing another person's problems
These are the things that comes to my mind.
Do you know any other barriers???

Hi Ayşe,
I think you've itemized barriers to effective communication well. I totally agree with you.
Thanks,
