Order of Presentation of Letters
Alphabets are divided into manageable pieces for presentation. In this work book we have prepared work according to the selected letters.
We have 4-5 consonants and a vowel with the work presented in different methods.
This will help the child learn understand acquire the beginnings sounds, identify the picture with the sound/letter write the letter by way of words sentences memory test.
The vowel is introduced accordingly, mainly to develop the reading and spelling ability.
The child will fill in the missing vowel and then the missing consonants and later on make a word.
Once a letter has been introduced, it may be used within the subsequent blending lessons. That's because learning the ‘letter sound’ will be faster within the context of words and story than by simply ‘drilling’ the sound. Further, you will be modeling the blending process which will in turn develop blending readiness in your child.
Sentences to develop reading ability: to read the sentences and fill in the missing words by looking into the word box or match the sentences to the correct pictures.
Guide the child to sight read by looking at the picture whether he should fill in the blanks or match the sentence to the word not work blindly.
The child has to see the pictures recognize the object select the words given below and write. This will help the child to develop his spelling skills.
We have also given him stories that he has to read with the help of the pictures where he will have to write the appropriate word.
Reading Comprehension Composition: introducing the child to make short sentences and read the passage/sentences and answer the questions. This is to develop his mind to read understand and answer the questions and read a passage and make small stories similar to the ones given in the work book.
He will be able to do write understand and work on his original book with ease.
Endings Adding and introduction to a touch of Grammar for understanding so that he will be ready for Grammar in Grade 1.
At the end of the academic year our KG’s will graduate with understanding and acquiring English as his first language with reading writing and spelling abilities.
