      Demotivating Effect

It goes without saying that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process and there are no rules about correcting. But we must pay attention to the fact that too much correction by the teacher can have a demotivating effect. Too much correction can be as bad as too little.

Two important questions are "when to correct" and "how to correct." Experienced teachers know that there are many kinds of mistakes. So they correct the most important ones and ignore the ones that destroy communication.

As a teacher we can talk to the students and explain how we are going to correct them during activities and let them know that different activities can have different correction method.

In conclusion, we can increase students' confidence and motivate them by tactful correction.
