      Ending up activites

      Hello, everyone!
This time I’m going to speak about the activities that we can use at the end of any lesson. Every teacher has his or her favourite set of warming up activities that he or she can use at the beginning of the lesson. But what about ending up activities that you should have up your sleeve? At the end of the lesson we usually give feedback and home assignment, but if some time is left, what can the teacher do? I’d like to share one of my favourite ending up activities. It is a game with the letters of the English alphabet. I always have cards with English letters. The student takes one of the cards and he’s got 2 minutes to write down 7 words that begin with the letter on the card. The students can write only verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs. The next task depends on the level of the student. If he’s an elementary student, he can make up sentences with these words. If he’s a pre-intermediate or intermediate student, he can make up a story using all the words. If he’s an advanced student, he can make up a story, but the teacher should say what genre it should be. I know that my students enjoy this activity a lot. What ending up activities do you use? I’ll be glad to get some new ideas.
