A cyber friend of mine invited me to join ExchangesConnect NING. I am member of different NING groups and find them very very interesting. In fact, I think I will opn one next year for my own courses and start training teachers at my schools to do the same ( I am the ICT coordinator at two schools - see my profile) .
I have had a look at http://connect.state.gov/ . It is a growing global community of people interested in cross-cultural dialogue and international exchange! It may be particularly interesting for students because they will interact with people of different countries and read/leave their comments about simple everyday topics such as:
- What is your city famous for - from local culture to global
- What is the difference between love and friendship
- Tell me about a place you visited
- what are the responsibilities of Youth
I think I will pick up some ideas and develop them in my blogs
