I am a week away from begining my CELTA course. It will be very intensive. I have been reviewing several sites and teaching methods to be able to keep up with the course. Besides that I have English Students in the early morning and at night, so I should be very tired by the end of the of the class.

I finished the course and went on Holiday. It was intense and the rest was welcomed. I have just begun to teach now in Bogota, Colombia. At the end of course I just felt numb. But now that sometime has past I feel good about my experience with the CELTA course and happy that I did it through the British Council. The course covered a lot and it pays to look back at your notes or handouts to begin incorporating what was taught in class.
Mainly the course has made me more student centered. I now can pause and wait for understanding without feeling that I have to continue. I have had experience with the Hallon method of teaching and find that course is good for absolute beginners, but for a fluent natural approach, the CELTA cambridge method is the most effective for the learning of whatever language one is trying to learn.
