      Global English

General concern about the power of English?

Let's remind you of English as the key to effective

Opportunities. A precious tool on the world stage!

But the point is... there's more which seems to be all the rage...

Asset languages, we mean, community languages being promoted,

Linking communities, and contributing to international understanding!

English has always borrowed from other languages.

Not surprisingly, this has also helped it expand quickly as a ...

      Global language.

Like every language English has been changing due to its permanent ...

Interaction with other languages and cultures.

Skills to be improved will be welcome, both linguistic and intercultural,

Hopefully aimed at international understanding and social cohesion!!

      Dear Maria

      Maria you are a poet!

      And I never knew that.

Really I can't believe that one can write a poem on this theme.

Intelligent way of talking about a theme.

      And a creative one too.

      Dear Harsh,

Thank you very much for being so gentle and generous on your compliment!

Despite having written some poems in my mother tongue and English, as well, I do not consider myself a poet. What happens is an immense passion for writing poetry. It is not difficult to do it provided that we think seriously about the topic/content and then we combine it with our feelings, emotions, views.

At this particular time of the year I would like to wish you & your Family all the best and a very healthy, peaceful New Year 2009!

Many thanks for sharing your knowledge at TE during 2008.

      Warm regards,

      Maria
