      Nickname of the Tenses

      If your students have problems for learning these three tenses; You can use this as a tip :) It's just for fun :)

      You can call present tense ''Do-Does'' as a bodyguard. Because ''Do protect I,you,we,they'' and ''Does protect He,she,it'' from the verb.

      You can call present continous tense as a ''Romantic Friends'' Because am,is,are and V-ing are very close friends and never split up :)

      You can call past tense as a ''Grandfather'' Because before ''Do and Does'' born, ''Did'' has already lived and It's very old :)

      Does it work for adults as well? and what nickname do you use for Present Perfect and other tenses ? If nothing's created yet, let's brainstorm:)

      here we go with one more tip: Does eats all "-s" in questions and negative sentences :)

      I think I'll try this next time I teach grammar. I like telling the class that she/he/it take as and it's easy to remember as they sound like ...

      I think that teaching tenses is one of the hard and main aspect. It requires very hard work. Especially in the tense system of Russian, we have only 3 tenses of the verb. So, your method can be usefull, it's interesting and new

      Hi,thanks for stopping by :) you can use for adults,too ;) It works well ;) You will see it ;) For perfect tense, you could say that I,you,we,they HAVE got a child. The child name is HAVE +V3 :) and He,she,it HAS a child. the name is HAS+V3 ;) So, when you stress to HAVE AND HAS.... They suddenly remember the HAVE+HAS+V3 ;)

      I,you,we,they always play with their children.... HAVE+V3   (Have FUN)

      He,she,it always (HAS BREAKFAST) together ;) HAS+V3...

      These are just my imagination,ıf you think please share and write... I am looking forward to waiting creative ideas about it ;) :)):)):):) thanks in advance ;)

      Yeah good tips as you said,,,, I always say the say Does eat all S ORRRR! They all afraid to -S :) ;)
