      Welcome to the Digital Generation!

This video was something that changed me as a teacher! It motivated me to write my MA Thesis which started from a single blog post! If you still feel like digital immigrant, it's time to take bigger steps!

"I came to realize that students are more motivated when learning via technology rather than traditional methods. I can tell from my own experience that Armenian learners are READY to be exposed to technology as a part of their classroom “tools & materials”. The examples in the videos tell that our learners can benefit a lot from technologies. Students become autonomous since their motivation level goes up. The learners no more need a teacher to be sitting next to them and guiding students all the time with “boring” instructions. As a future teacher, I think I might change my teaching strategies and become a more technology oriented. I think it is already time for us to shift our students from being digital immigrants to digital natives".

Leman, one of our colleauges does not agree with the idea that there is more motivation with technologies rather than with teaching traditionsl methods. What do you think about this.

yeah,I remembered one comment that is related to agree on traditional method etc..I think it depends on how you use the methods..I mean, if you use test or fill in the blanks part etc.. for revision or remembering ...it could be fine...I think it doesn't sound traditional method...If you add smt creative besides the test etc. like games,songs,drama...could be fine...But if you just use the same exercise for all your class..the lesson could be all same and could be very boring, too. Right or not Karine?

      Dear Karine,

I am planning to do my PhD on the same topic. I love the incorporation of technology into the classroom and I think they information in the video is correct- students do not only use it for games, but for other useful, educational topics (even a game helps in communication when two or more players are involved)

      Thanks for sharing

that's right! of coure, any kind of method or approach also highly depends on your attitude, but the thing is that technolgoy is really something new, which can push us ahead and at the same time our students! I teach at a private sector, however, I hear that in schools students become more and more demotivated!

This is WHY I recommend to bring SOMETHING new to the class! It would be better if you could mix SOMETHING OLD AND SOMETHING NEW, I am sure the combination would be great!
