TeachingEnglish
A new beginning, a reason for living...
Submitted by Jinwish on 11 March, 2009 - 22:03
I got up this morning and thought that there weren't any aims in my life. I'm just a kind of an animal, which is just existing, not living. So I tried to analyse it and understand what I want to do in my life. Being a third year student of the English language faculty I have lots of admirable opportunities in future, but teaching is something I want to deal with. That's what I know. I also know I'll succeed. Of course, I have little teaching experience, but I'm here to be a better specialist in future, to be better than my future colleagues, because I suppose that every teacher should have a sense of self-perfection. I would be delighted if you give me your own pieces of advice. See you ;-)

Hi,
and thanks for sharing your interesting and personal thoughts.
As far as I can tell (and as far as my opinion is relevant:)) I have the impression that you know exactly what you want, so now it only needs patience, persistance, and time.
We've got plenty to do, the process is never-ending and will unfold in its own time.
When you write that you want to be better than my future colleagues, because I suppose that every teacher should have a sense of self-perfection, I'd change the words 'better than my future colleagues' to 'better than my past self.' I think this is the most important thing.
If you stay focused on your unique Teacher Identity, nurish it, develop it, learn from others, give it time and enough 'food,' all else will follow naturally.
good luck and take good care,
Marian
