      Teaching grammar

Ugh, teaching grammar again next week and I'm not sure where to start. Have seen a few grammar lessons taught by my fellow trainees and have some ideas about what NOT to do, as well as some good models too. I figure I start with meaning, using the context set in the previous lesson, then move onto form, and then practice. Let the students do as much as possible - reduce 'chalk and talk' time - keep checking understanding.

Comparatives and superlatives - easy? Hmmm. not sure. Context? Sport - who is the fittest, etc.

I feel in a muddle - where do I begin??

Maybe it's just that Friday feeling... or the work men merrily drilling away next door... or the rain...
