Yesterday was the Day of Professional Development - my own holiday. I spent it in Moscow (very cold, by the way!). First, I went to a Macmillan's conference ESP in Higher Education to listen to Nick Sheard and Sam McCarter. The presentations were really interesting. Besides, I met a colleague and a friend from Kolomna, which was great, because we see each other very rarely.
Then I went to Moscow State Institute of Foreign Relations to take the materials of the conference published about a year ago. My article is also there, but it took me a year to get to the place and finally collect it.
Then I rushed to the Museum of Fine Arts to see the exhibition of William Blake and British visioners. The exhibition was highly recommended by British Council and a couple of my friends. The works are magnificent, indeed, but I didn't like the place allocated by the museum to the exhibition - too dark.
And, finally, I dashed to the High School of Economics where the award ceremony took place - I got the second prize for translating the article on sociology with a very complicated title: Using Instrumental Variable Tests to Evaluate Model Specification in Latent Variable Structural Equation Models.
A couple of bookstores on the way to the station - and here I am, back home after a 7-hour train journey.
Sorry about boasting online, but yesterday was a really great day.

Boasting is ok when there's really sth to boast about, Evgeniya)
Congratulations on a great day! I wanted to come to that conference but unfortunately wasn't able and it was too far away... And it was really cold that's true.
