      I have tested Quandary!

Well, for those who like Hot Potatoes Quandary will be another favourite tool (if it hasn't already become one!).

      www.halfbakedsoftware.com/quandary/version_2/

I finally tested it on a private student, and the results were very good.

Quandary is a maze-builder and an interactive-story maker, therefore, and develops not only language skills, but also decision-making skills. And, like Hot Potatoes, it is free software, so there is no need to worry about the licence.

The additional advantage is that the interface is friendly, especially for the teacher who makes the maze. You can also add songs, pictures, clips.

My student enjoyed doing the maze immensely.  Actually, she was trying to explain her choices and this was extra language practice.

There was one more advantage for me - I had almost lost my voice the day before, it is -28C here, and, thanks to Quandary, I could relax a little bit.

      Thank you,

      Dear Meira,

I have no idea what the problem may be. I sometimes have similar problems at work, where we have only limited access to sites.  We don't have Facebook at work, our authorities think we may spend hours there instead of working. But when I access it from my home computer, it is OK. The same holds true for the Quandary site.

Try another computer, it may help to solve it.

      Good luck
