Motivating the Unmotivated part 2 - An Activity

We can start the first week of the school year or when you feel their motivation is fading away with activities that they will help them learn to study.

      A wall dictation:

      Divide the class into teams

Explain the rules of running/wall dictation

Stick the handouts with quotes on learning on the walls.

After finishing the activity, discuss the quotes

Ask them to choose the most motivational quote.

In teams ask them to write their motto for the class.

Prepare posters with their mottos and display on the walls

      Some quotes for this activity

A teacher can but lead you to the door, learning is up to you. Chinese proverb

Only the educated are free. Epictetus

If you want your dreams come true, don’t sleep. Polish proverb

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. Winston Churchill
