Liven up your lessons with web 2.0 tools, part 2

This post is the 2nd part of Liven up your lessons with web 2.0 tools, part 1

      Voicethread

Voicethread is also a very handy tool for pre and post activities. Before you start a topic, ask some questions to your students and tell them to answer them on voicethread. You can do the same after you finish a lesson or read a book.

      Slides

You can use power point presentations or moviemaker.  However, the online slide show tools are very cool. You can use them to start discussion, to brainstorm, to introduce anything or you can ask your students to summarise books, stories or even a clip for the song they’ve just listened.

This one was created as a pre-reading activity and this one was created raise interest before we started reading the Great Gatsby.

Some of my favourites are www.animoto.com, www.photopeach.com

      bookr and bubblr

Bookr allows users to create online books using flickr images and you can easily use it for pre teaching or assigning a follow up. Bubblr is also similar to bookr but you create a slides using the same images and adding texts. Have a look at this as an example.

Nice series of posts Eva! Total inspiration and good to see them listed altogether. I will try to use Bookr and Bubblr. ;)

      Thanks!
