      Don't throw ice-cream sticks away!!!

      Hope all is well,

Today, I m very proud of sharing an activity that I,myself developed because of need for teaching material in my classes. (or I'll be disappointed If It has already been discovered and applied.:(()

Some day,''There should have been sth motivating and easy to get for  students,'' I thought.:)

It is very easy actually. But It works with my students very well.

      Ice-cream sticks..

You know these, wooden ones. As you guess, It is not so hard to find them (maybe seasonal ) ,Just ask your students to bring  After they clean them.

When you have a collection of sticks, you hand out a half to students  to write some questions. And then other half to be written answers to these questions.

You can mix answers and questions and ask your students to match them up.

The game can be played by different groups or pairs for a limited time. The one who manages to match all sticks first ,wins the game.

It is very useful way of remembering the question types and given answers.. ( Where are you from? What's your job? When is your birthday? How old are you? What's the weather like ? Whose books are those? How many sisters or brothers have you got? Which animal is a reptile? Why are you happy? What is the matter with Sam?

They can play with sticks by choosing one of them ( asking or answering.)

P.S: we keep these sticks in a box that is available in the classroom all the time. Students run to play among themselves in the breaks.

      Strongly recommended!!

I like it! I guess it could be used for vocabulary + definitions as well as questions + answers? Perfect for kinaesthetic learners.
