Hello again,
A couple of weeks to go before the conference starts, so I'll let you know a little about myself. Just to give you some idea of who this guy is who is writing to you.
So, the boring professional bit first. I've worked for the British Council for getting on for eighteen years and I'm currently a Regional ELT Project Manager. I've been an English teacher, trainer, materials and curriculum designer, but more importantly for this blog, I worked for about six years in testing helping to set up the Polish Military and Police Exam boards and writing lots and lots of test material. So, I've a good background in testing and should understand all that goes on at this big testing conference.
And the (slightly more) exiting private stuff. I've lived in Poland for a long time and I've got a Polish wife and two children (who are far more Polish than English). I love to travel (but who doesn't?). I used to be a full time professional actor, co-creater of dramatic pieces and theatre director. (I still do a mean "Body in the Language Classroom" workshop that exploits mime skills). And I play the flute and whistle, focusing on celtic/Irish music.
So, that's me. How about you? We've got a couple of weeks to get to know each other before I start blogging (and you start commenting) from the conference. So, tell me about yourself.
