      English for Asians

Online learning has been one of the most wonderful trends that bridged the gap between people of different languages. In third world countries, a lot of people make their living in online teaching, particularly in English. Koreans, Chinese, Japanese people are outsourcing their English studies to poorer countries like the Philippines. Its quite advantageous to some point though. It helps a lot when people are able to do many things at the same time and earn money in not just one job. I bet this trend will continue for decades and I quite think that the future of learning and education is through the internet.

I agree with you. Online teaching helps the students and the teachers as well. The students to learn and be able to improve one's communication skills through the English language. For the teachers they also enhance their communication skills and not only that they earn while they're at home. The poor countries who render this kind of service also benefits from this because many individuals who are qualified were given jobs.

I Agree. And we will see that more and more as time passes. People are going online as it is often cheap and resourceful. Third world, especially India will play a big role in distance learning.

I am interested in online learning too. It eases the teacher in doing her job. There are a lot of authentic teaching materials available online. The teacher can select and adopt them to be used in class. She just asks her student to discover or browse the topic she wants to discuss in the class. The students are so active to prepare their learning in class
