The facilitators asked the audience the next question: ‘‘5+’? What is it for you?’ Most people mentioned their feelings of excitement, inspiration, satisfaction and motivation.

The next activity was ‘Onion ring’. The participants discussed what motivated them during the E-merging Forum. They voiced their ides and there was a very long list of things that motivated them during the E-merging Forum.

Then the attendees were asked to move around the room to music and the facilitator said numbers. When they heard the number, they formed groups of that number of people. It was very exciting. Everyone enjoyed it a lot. Finally, they formed 6 groups of 5 people.

After that they discussed the factors that usually motivate our learners and students. Then the participants of the Teacher Development session proceeded to speaking about the things that motivate teachers.

First, the participants worked on their own. They wrote 5 things that motivate them as teachers of English. Then they discussed them with their group mates and put them into 3 categories. They also gave a name to each category.

After that each group voiced their categories and ideas. Finally, 5 categories were chosen:

      • our results,
      • professional environment,
      • a human factor,
      • students,
      • rewards.

Then the participants discussed the factors that demotivate them as teachers of English. The next stage was suggesting solutions. At the end of the discussion they came to the conclusion that teachers can cope with difficulties very well.
