Tea with a Dickens character?
Submitted by Dickens 2012 on 5 February, 2012 - 21:53
We have had some interesting suggestions of who you would like to have tea with from Dickens's wide
variety of characters and what single question you would ask them. Please keep responding. To remind of the question:
If you could have a cup of tea with a Dickens character, who would it be, and why?

I think I'd choose Miss Havisham to have tea with because I remember her being quite a dark, mysterious character. I believe that many people repeat her mistake of staying bitter throughout their lifetime because they have been treated harshly. I'd try to explain that the person she mostly hurts with her behaviour is herself, besides her closest ones. Besides, I'd like to be invited to her mansion and maybe help her tidy it up a bit before having tea in the garden:-)
Wilkins Micawber and his wife because they seem like a nice family
