I've been to Dickens World in Medway, UK. It was really fantastic for me and my students.

Last year I wrote a post on it. Here you can read it:

Thank for telling us about this crystalheart!  Do you know, it is rumoured that Dickens regularly walked from London to Chatham (the location of Dickens World)  A distance of about 50 miles (85kms)!

      Welcome to the blog.

Question:  Why do you think Dicken's of of relevance to today's world?

"Charles Dickens' novels have an abiding resonance in Africa because of the significance of his thematic concerns, for example, the Circumlocution Office; seemingly endless judicial processes; the problem of street children; the quest for a more equitable society;the stigmatisation of children borne out of wedlock and the challenges posed by confusing rote learning with education."

      Hi again

If you watch the short films which the British Council have produced about various heroes and villains in the novels of Charles Dickens you'll hear from Lucinda Hawksley.

Lucinda is the great great great granddaughter of Charles Dickens.
