      Do you use Power Point Presentations in the classroom? If you do, you should check out Vuvox.com. It is a free program (you have to register) that lets you create interactive slide shows. Vuvox Presentations are in a way what Power Point presentations want to be when they grow up ;-) You can use videos, photos, text and music together and you can share your masterwork in your classroom or via Facebook or Moodle. All you have to do is upload content from your computer, the web, Flickr, or Picasa to your Vuvox account and then you can create one of three types of presentations – Express, Collage or Studio.  All are variations on the same theme: slide shows with interactive text, photos and videos. Vuvox presentations are as simple as Power Point presentations to create. There are three easy steps. #1 collect/upload your media. #2 create the presentation. #3 share the presentation.

      Hi CoffeeAddict,

      Thank you for the links, I did not know them. I like using ppt in the classroom since it changes the mood and gives an alternative to students. I will try this.

      Thank you all for reading! I am so glad you liked it. I have to admit that I am pretty new to Vuvox myself, it was recommended to me by a colleague a few months ago and I haven't created many presentations yet. Right now I'm in the playing-to-learn phase. I want to create a Vuvox presentation as a "discover and learn" activity with my kids. I think I'll give them a worksheet with questions that can be answered only by unlocking all the secrets of the presentation (some viewing, some listening included). Do you think that would work?
