TeachingEnglish
      First Impressions

Hi there fellow English teachers and bloggers everywhere,

I am Ms. Coffee Addict and I am an English teacher currently living and teaching full time in a private school in Turkey. I'm "married with children" and have been living in beautiful İzmir for 10 + years now. My husband, Mr. Coffee Addict, is Turkish and also an educator, but at University level. Over the years I've taught so-called Skills, Main Course and Language Arts lessons to grades 6 through 8. Before moving to Turkey, I taught English at high school. I've never taught adults or very young children. Lately I've become very interested in technology as a learning and teaching tool. I have my own Moodle that I use regularly with my students and I enjoy using a range of learning technologies in my classroom. However, I have never had my own blog! The opportunity to participate in the "blogathon 2011" starting February 1st is going to change that. Looking forward to it!

      Hello, Ms. Coffee Addict!

I also like teaching English using technology with adults (I use Moodle course) but with children I only used web search and e-mail. I also gave them some nice Urls to play  games like http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/

What do you give your teenage students to make them more attracted to English by using technology?

      Thanks.
