Hi All,
I've been away for a while since my PhD classes are starting soon and I had to deal with the registration business, which gave me a hard time as my classes clashed with those I have in the instutition I work at. What a mess it was!!! Thank God everything is solved and in order now!
Tonight I'd like to share a post from my previous class blog in which I assigned my students with something to develop their note-taking skills.
The guy in the video is actually a professor from Philosophy Department of (as far as I remember) an American university. He describes the department and gives details for the prospective students. In our institution, note-taking is a very important skill, which, as part of the curriculum, is evaluated and prepares the students for their future studies in their own departments.
That's why I prepared some practice questions and after watching the video and taking notes, they can work individually at home or in the lab to practice the skill and this can really work well for self-development purposes.
Of course, if you'd like to hide the questions from the students as they are taking notes, you can always publish them in a separate link, which might work like a real note-taking task!
Here is the link. Enjoy!
