How is a simple piece of writing different from a literary style?

      A  Simple  Sentence

An old man was walking down the street.

"now wait a minute , this is incomplete." The teacher remarked.

      How teacher?

      Add more to it

"An old man, holding on to a wooden walking stick, was tremblingly struggling along Old Harley Street"

      What have you added?

Manner of walking, object in his hand and the name of the street.

This means History , nouns, adjectives and prepositions have been added.plus an image is created in the mind of the reader as he reads the sentence.

Grammatical items, historical aspects, and multisensorial effects make a sentence different from an ordinary expressive style.

You can make your writing interesting and effective by using a variety of literary devices and varying sentence structure.

Well, these were a few guidelines for new writers from my writing experience.

To begin the journey on the road to effective writing one needs to learn the amalgamation of history culture stylistics and the use of literary devices in a varying form of sentence structure.
