Mad Libs:
Prepare:
Write a simple story, then remove key words from it such as adjectives, numbers, nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc.
Activity:
- Go through the blanks in your story, and ask students for a word to use to fill it. For example, ask one student for a verb, one student for an adjective, one student for a name, etc. until all of the blanks are completed.
- It is very important NOT to tell the students know what the story is about!!
- Once all of the blanks have been filled, read the story to the students. It should be pretty ridiculous and hopefully it will make the students laugh!
- Afterwards it may be fun to go back through the story and ask students what words they think should have gone in each blank.
