Small clues,

Whenever I teach a new word and ask my students to use it in a sentence, they either make very simple ones which are not definitely expected from their level or even don't attempt to give a try. But if I give the beginning of the phrase, they never hesitate to complete it. They eagerly finish it and always ask for more. That's why 'sentence completion' is always one of my favourite exercises. The topic or the point is not important; they may complete a conditional sentence or analyze a character from a reader. Simply, they like guided tasks in other words they might need tiny clues.By the way, I thank all the comments that have been done so far very much. Thanks a lot :))

Ask them to write longer sentences, or you may do competition among them: who complete the most beautiful story wit new words...
